I will not tell you her name..
But she comes most nights to put an end to my nightmare.. the one i have all the time, of myself drowning.
She looks beautiful in my dreams.. radiant and shining.. that even in the twilight of my horrid mind, her light banishes the shadows to the most distant places.
Speaking of shadows.. I’ve had many shadows in my life.. when i was young i used to play with my shadow, and whenever i had friends, i never really considered them real.. but merely replacements for my shadow.
I will not tell you her name..
But sometimes she guarded me from the shadows..
and sometimes she was one of them.
I will be well again.. but i will never be complete for the absence of you.
haaaaay… this is depressing…
It is so irritating when the butterfly you chased all day and caught by twilight suddenly loses all the vibrancy and radiance it had when it was free.. Between my hands, the tired creature wilted.
I have been chasing butterflies for years, and this one fit my palms just right.. yet i have to let it go.. it is not mine.
